Classic Combo: Harvest Hues

  • Second to Christmas (well… it’s a close race) this is my favorite time of year for decorating. While short-lived, the 3 1/2 weeks in between Halloween and Thanksgiving are the most gorgeous days in my house – from centerpiece arrangements to mantle garland to candle scents – I love it. I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween decor (okay, so I’m trying to climb on board as my kids get older) but FALL decor… simply stunning. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I have always been a “warm tones” kind of girl, so naturally this season is straight up my ally. The browns, golds, burnt oranges, sage greens… I cannot get enough. And actually, minus the pumpkins and gourds, a lot of the “harves hues” segway into Christmas very well – browns, all greens, deep reds and golds. These next 3 weeks I’ll be thinking of all of the things I’m most thankful for (and eating up every last second of the fall glam before it’s packed away again.) Hope you are too. Happy Friday!
