This past Friday, I finally had the opportunity to attend our first market as MJP! It was essential that we be there to scoop up the latest and greatest products and even more important to meet and get to know the regional representatives from prospective vendors. Our goal for the Chicago Market.. scope out great bridal party and welcome bag vendors, look at retail wedding invitation lines, see what the latest trends are in the wedding, events, stationery and design world… it was a huge success!
Chicago Market is held at the Merchandise Mart every year - the world’s largest commercial building and wholesale design center. It encompasses 4.2 million square feet, spans two city blocks and rises 25 stories. It’s even better known for being the epicenter for high design and luxury goods. On an ordinary day, this is the place you want to be if you’re designing a home, but on Friday, it was exactly where we needed to be – face to face with several amazing stationery and gift vendors.
We found tons of great bridal party bag options! From vinyl to polyester to cotton, multiple styles, sizes and patterns … overwhelming how many choices there are for cute bags and totes!
I stopped by Becky & Company, a representative of several invitation and stationery lines – spectacular! We loved the Vera Wang and William Arthur lines especially!
A couple of cute gift options! We're always looking to expand our custom gift lines. This rustic, aluminum initial was one of my favorite items of the day – they come in every letter of the alphabet – a great idea for a bride taking on a new monogram! These personalized laundry bags caught my eye as well.
Overall, it was a successful market for MJ Paperie! We met so many great people and collected loads of potential goodies to bring to our site. We’ve taken lots of advice from our clients and are always excited to revisit, revamp and grow! Next market on the calendar – can’t wait!
